Kyiv Classic Orchestra
The Kyiv Classic Orchestra is a non-governmental orchestra based in Kyiv, Ukraine. Its current conductor and music director is Herman Makarenko Herman Makarenko (born 29 June 1961, Ukraine) is the conductor of the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of Ukraine named after Taras Shevchenko, the chief conductor and artistic director of thKyiv Classic Orchestra People's Artist of Ukr .... The orchestra is administered by The Kyiv Classic Corporation. The French agency NS (Nord Service) Organisation administered the orchestra's international tour in 2006. The orchestra, which ranges in size from 10–12 players chamber orchestra to 60 players symphony orchestra, usually performs at The National Opera of Ukraine or The National House of Organ and Chamber Music of Ukraine. The Kyiv Opera group was formally established in the summer of 1867, and is the third oldest in Ukraine, after Odessa Opera and Lviv Opera. The Kyiv Opera Company perform at the National Opera House of Ukraine named after Taras Shevchenko in Kyiv.
