Kwimba
Kwimba District is one of the seven districts of the Mwanza Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the north by the Magu District, to the east by Maswa District and Kishapu District, to the south by Shinyanga Rural District, and to the west by Misungwi District. The district seat is at Ngudu. Sumve is another important settlement in Kwimba District, hosting a hospital and large church. The majority of the residents of Kwimba are Wasukuma from the Sukuma tribe and speak Sukuma along with Swahili. Most of the residents are engaged in the subsistence farming of rice, sweet potatoes, cassava, millet or maize. As of 2012, the population of the Kwimba District was 406,509. Mwanza Region
Mwanza Region (''Mkoa wa Mwanza'' in Swahili) is one of Tanzania's 31 administrative regions The region covers a land area of . The region is comparable in size to the combined land area of the nation state of North Macedonia. Njombe Region is bordered to the north through Lake Victoria by the Kagera Region and Mara Region, to the east by Simiyu Region, to the south by the Shinyanga Region and to the west by Geita Region. The regional capital is the municipality of Mwanza. According to the 2012 national census, the region had a population of 3,122,992. Ngudu
Ngudu is a town in the Kwimba District of the Mwanza Region in northwestern Tanzania. The town is the location of the district headquarters of Kwimba District. In 2016 the Tanzania National Bureau of Statistics report there were 31,123 people in the ward, from 27,630 in 2012. Sumve
Sumve, Tanzania is a ward located in the Kwimba District of the Mwanza Region, in Tanzania. Sumve's residents are predominantly from the Wasukuma tribe, the largest in Tanzania, but some of Sumve's institutions employ Wahaya, Wajita, Wakerewe, Wanyamwezi and others from neighboring tribes. Therefore, many of the residents speak Kisukuma along with Swahili, the national language. In 2016 the Tanzania National Bureau of Statistics report there were 18,514 people in the ward, from 16,436 in 2012. The primary economic activity in the village of Sumve is the farming of rice, maize and cotton, often at the subsistence level. Sumve hosts the Kwimba district designated hospital. Since six years the village has been connected to electricity via Tanesco, although there are frequent power outages (in which case a generator kicks in). Misungwi District
Misungwi District is one of the seven Districts of Tanzania, districts of the Mwanza Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the north by Nyamagana District and Magu District, to the east by Kwimba District, to the south by Shinyanga Rural, Shinyanga Rural District and to the west by Nyang'hwale District and Lake Victoria. Misungwi is often spelled with an extra 's' to make it Missungwi. The administrative centre is in the town of Misungwi. As of 2012, the population of the Misungwi District was 351,607, of which 30,728 are living in an urban area (Misungwi, Misungwi town). Mantare
Mantare is one of 18 wards of the Kwimba District of the Mwanza Region in Tanzania. It is located at 33° 13' E, 2° 42' S. Like many of its neighboring wards, Mantare is inhabited by the Wasukuma people who speak Kisukuma and Swahili, the national language of Tanzania. The landscape is quite rural, and much of the farmland is used for growing rice, corn, cassava, and cotton. Most of the inhabitants are subsistence farmers, though a few work in the institutions found in the nearby village of Sumve. Maswa District
Maswa District is one of the five districts of the Simiyu Region of Tanzania Inhabited by Sukuma ( Nyantuzu People). It is bordered to the north by Magu District and Itilima District, to the east by the Meatu District, to the south by the Kishapu District, and to the west by the Kwimba District. Its administrative centre is the town of Maswa. According to the 2002 Tanzanian National Census, the population of Maswa District is 304,402.According to the 2012 Tanzania National Census, the population of Maswa District was 344,125. Magu District
Magu District is one of the seven districts of the Mwanza Region of Tanzania, East Africa. Its administrative centre is the town of Magu on the Simiyu River. It is bordered to the north by Lake Victoria and Busega District, to the east by Bariadi District, to the south by Itilima District, Maswa District, Kwimba District and Misungwi District, and to the west by the city of Mwanza, which consists of Nyamagana District and Ilemela District. As of 2012, the population of Magu was 299,759.
