Kuzholuzo Nienu
Kuzholuzo Nienu popularly known as Azo Nienü is an Indian politician from Nagaland. He was elected to Nagaland Legislative Assembly 4 times from Phek Assembly constituency in 2003, 2008, 2013 and 2018 Nagaland Legislative Assembly election. He has earlier served as a minister in Nagaland Legislative Assembly. Nienü is currently the Leader of Naga People's Front Legislature wing and is the Co Chairman of United Democratic Alliance (Nagaland), United Democratic Alliance government in Nagaland Legislative Assembly. The Naga People's Front (NPF) is a regional political party in Nagaland, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh . It headed the Nagaland government with the Bharatiya Janata Party, as part of the Democratic Alliance of Nagaland from 2003 to 2018. NPF is coalition partner of N. Biren Singh ministry led BJP government in Manipur. Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu is the President of the party. Awangbow Newmai is State unit President of the party in Manipur while Losii Dikho is the Legislature Party Leader of NPF in Manipur Legislative Assembly. The Nagaland Legislative Assembly election, 2018 was held on 27 February 2018 in 59 out of 60 constituencies of the Legislative Assembly of Nagaland. The scheduled election in Northern Angami II constituency did not take place as only incumbent MLA Neiphiu Rio was nominated and was therefore declared elected unopposed. The United Democratic Alliance is a state-level political alliance in the Indian state of Nagaland. Background In the run-up to the 2018 Nagaland Legislative Assembly election, the ruling Naga People's Front split over whether to continue its coalition with the Bharatiya Janata Party. A rebel group led by former chief minister Neiphiu Rio created the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party, and the NDPP and BJP contested the election in alliance. Naga People
Nagas are various ethnic groups native to northeastern India and northwestern Myanmar. The groups have similar cultures and traditions, and form the majority of population in the Indian states of Nagaland and Manipur and Naga Self-Administered Zone of Myanmar; with significant populations in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam in India; Sagaing Region and Kachin State in Myanmar (Burma).
