Kutaisi City Assembly
Kutaisi Municipal Assembly (Georgian: ქუთაისის საკრებულო) is a representative body in the city of Kutaisi, Georgia. currently consisting of 35 members; of these, 28 are proportional representatives and 7 are elected through single-member districts, representing their constituencies. It was established in the early 1990s, after Georgia's independence. The council is assembled into session regularly, to consider subject matters such as code changes, utilities, taxes, city budget, oversight of city government and more. Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia ( ka, ქართული ოცნება – დემოკრატიული საქართველო, ''Kartuli ocneba – Demok’rat’iuli Sakartvelo'') is a social democratic political party in Georgia. The party was established on 19 April 2012 by the billionaire businessman Bidzina Ivanishvili. Georgian Dream and its partners in a coalition also named Georgian Dream won majorities in the 2012, 2016, and 2020 general elections. Lelo for Georgia () is a centrist liberal political party in Georgia that was created at the end of 2019 by businessmen Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze. The party has attracted a number of prominent political figures and parties (through mergers), including David Usupashvili's Development Movement, the New Rights Party and Pikria Chikhradze. It also has attracted a number of centre-left political figures, such as Grigol Gegelia. The Way of Georgia (, ''Sak’art’velos gza'', also called The Georgian Way) was a political party in Georgia. It was registered on March 11, 2006. The party was led by former Foreign Minister and current President Salome Zourabichvili from its founding until 2010. The Way of Georgia was considered a liberal party. Although Zourabichvili enjoyed high personal popularity, her party has not been able to establish itself in the political field.
