Kurt W. Petersen
Kurt Wæde Petersen (born 2 December 1934) is a former Motorcycle speedway rider who was a four times champion of Denmark and the 1964 Individual Speedway Long Track World Championship, world longtrack champion. Speedway career Petersen was a four times champion of Denmark, winning the Danish Individual Speedway Championship, Danish Championship in 1960 to 1963. He competed in nine Individual Speedway Long Track World Championship, World Longtrack Championship Finals and became a world champion after winning the 1964 Individual Long Track European Championship, 1964. He was the Denmark Longtrack Champion eleven times, in 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968 and 1969. He rode in the List of United Kingdom speedway league champions, top tier of British Speedway in 1961, riding for Norwich Stars. Amager ( or, especially among older speakers, ) in the Øresund is Denmark's most densely populated island, with more than 212,000 inhabitants (January 2021) a small appendage to Zealand. The protected natural area of ''Naturpark Amager'' (including Kalvebod Fælled) makes up more than one-third of the island's total area of 96 km2. The Danish capital, Copenhagen Municipality, is partly situated on Amager, covering the northern part of the island, which is connected to the much larger island of Zealand (Denmark), Zealand by eight bridges and a metro tunnel. Amager also has a connection across the Øresund to Sweden, the Øresund Bridge. Its western part begins with a tunnel from Amager to another Danish island, Peberholm. Copenhagen Airport is located on the island, around from Indre By, Copenhagen city centre.
