Kurt Bodewig
Kurt Bodewig (born 26 April 1955) is a German politician of the SPD. Political career From 1998 until 2000, Bodewig served as Parliamentary State Secretary under minister Reinhard Klimmt in the government of Chancellor Gerhard Schröder. In 2000, he succeeded Klimmt as minister. Following the 2002 elections, he was replaced by Manfred Stolpe. From 2002 until 2009, Bodewig served on the Committee on European Affairs. Federal Ministry Of Transport And Digital Infrastructure
The Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (german: Bundesministerium für Digitales und Verkehr, ), abbreviated BMDV, is a cabinet-level ministry of the Federal Republic of Germany. Its main office is located in Berlin, while the majority of its civil servants and employees work in Bonn, the secondary seat. The Ministry itself has about 1300 employees. At the top is the Federal Minister, and there are two Parliamentary Secretaries, who are also Member of the Bundestag, and two civil servant undersecretaries. The ministry oversees 63 downstream agencies and authorities where around 25,000 people work. Trans-European Networks
The Trans-European Networks (TEN) were created by the European Union by Articles 154–156 of the Treaty of Rome (1957), with the stated goals of the creation of an internal market and the reinforcement of economic and social cohesion. To various supporters of this policy, it made little sense to talk of a big EU market, with freedom of movement within it for goods, persons and services, unless the various regions and national networks making up that market were properly linked by modern and efficient infrastructure.
