Kuo-En Chang
Kuo-En Chang (, born 1958) was the president of Tunghai University and former president of National Taiwan Normal University. Born in 1958, Chang grew up in a fishing village of Keelung, Taiwan. After junior high school, he gave up "the chance to study at the Affiliated Senior High School of National Taiwan Normal University (國立臺灣師範大學附屬高級中學, 師大附中) and chose to join thDepartment of Electrical Engineeringat National Taiwan Institute of Technology (now the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, 國立臺灣科技大學) for professional training." Tunghai University (THU; ) is the oldest private university in Taiwan, established in 1955. It was founded by the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia (UBCHEA). It is located in Xitun District, Taichung, Taiwan. Keelung
Keelung () or Jilong () (; Hokkien POJ: '), officially known as Keelung City, is a major port city situated in the northeastern part of Taiwan. The city is a part of the Taipei–Keelung metropolitan area, along with its neighbors, New Taipei City and Taipei, respectively. Nicknamed the ''Rainy Port'' for its frequent rain and maritime role, the city is Taiwan's second largest seaport (after Kaohsiung). The Taichung City Government () is the municipal government of Taichung, Taiwan.
