''Kung Fu Kid'', also known as ''Shaolin Heroes'', is a 1994 Hong Kong action film directed by Lee Chiu and starring Chin Ka-lok and Lam Ching-Ying. Plot Set during the time of the Qing dynasty, Manchurian troops attempt to close a Shaolin temple. Chin Ka-lok
Chin Ka-lok, sometimes credited as Chin Kar-lok (Chinese: 錢嘉樂, Pinyin: Qián Jiālè, born 6 August 1965), is a Hong Kong actor, action choreographer, and television presenter. Chin was born in Hong Kong, the younger brother of actor and stunt performer Chin Siu Ho. He is a former member of Sammo Hung's stunt team. Chin began working as a stuntman at the age of 16. In 1985, he made his film debut in Sammo Hung's ''Heart of Dragon'' as one of Jackie Chan's SWAT Team buddies. In 1988, Chin replaced his brother Siu Ho in the 4th installment of ''Mr. Vampire''. After starring in ''The Green Hornet'' and ''Drunken Master II'' in 1994, he began doing non-action roles alongside action roles. As a practitioner of martial arts Lam starred in a number of notable films that found recognition outside Hong Kong including ''Encounters of the Spooky Kind'', ''The Prodigal Son'' and his best known role in '' Mr. Vampire''. Qing Dynasty
The Qing dynasty ( ), officially the Great Qing,, was a Manchu-led imperial dynasty of China and the last orthodox dynasty in Chinese history. It emerged from the Later Jin dynasty founded by the Jianzhou Jurchens, a Tungusic-speaking ethnic group who unified other Jurchen tribes to form a new "Manchu" ethnic identity. Kwan Hoi-san
Herman Kwan Hoi-San () (born Kwan Ming-kok; October 23, 1925 – September 11, 2006) was a Hong Kong actor. His English name was Herman Kwan. Kwan started off as a Cantonese opera actor in street theatre before joining New Voice Opera Troupe (新聲劇團). He also started singing for early Hong Kong film soundtracks and moved on to act in films, mostly adaption of opera in Cantonese. He became famous and acted in many lead roles. When Hong Kong films started to move towards Mandarin, Kwan's career faltered and joined TVB and acted in various roles. Directors and filmmakers rediscovered his talent and cast him in many supporting roles in films. In 2001, Kwan suffered a stroke and was left mute and paralysed. He died in 2006. Siqin Gaowa (, Mongolian Cyrillic ''Цэцэнгуа'', born 19 January 1950), born Duan Anlin, is a Chinese-born Swiss actress. She was born in Guangzhou to a Han Chinese father and a Mongol Chinese mother. Her father died when she was 4, she was raised by her mother in Inner Mongolia. She has been married to musician Chen Liangsheng (陈亮声) since 1986 and currently holds Swiss citizenship together with her husband. Hong Kong Martial Arts Films
Hong Kong action cinema is the principal source of the Hong Kong film industry's global fame.
