András Kun
András Kun, O.F.M. (9 November 1911 – 19 September 1945 in Budapest, Hungary) was a Roman Catholic priest of the Franciscan Order. During the Holocaust in Hungary, Kun was also the commander of an Anti-Semitic death squad for the Arrow Cross Party. After the Second World War, Kun was prosecuted for war crimes by a Hungarian People's Tribunal after Hungary's occupation by Soviet armies. He was convicted and hanged. Life Early life and Church career András Kun was born 8 November 1911 in Nyírbátor, Kingdom of Hungary. He attended seminary in Rome. He then served as a priest in a Franciscan monastery. In 1943, Kun was, according to journalist Rezső Szirmai, expelled from the monastery and moved to Budapest. Although it is uncertain whether he ever had valid faculties, Kun sometimes gave sermons and offered Nuptial Masses at Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Városmajor. Kunqu
Kunqu (), also known as Kunju (), K'un-ch'ü, Kun opera or Kunqu Opera, is one of the oldest extant forms of Chinese opera. Kunqu is one of the oldest traditional operas of the Han nationality, and is also a treasure of Chinese traditional culture and art, especially opera art. Peng () or Dapeng () is a giant bird that transforms from a Kun () giant fish in Chinese mythology. Names The Chinese logograms for ''peng'' and ''kun'' exemplify common radical-phonetic characters. ''Peng'' (鵬) combines the "bird radical" ( 鳥) with a ''peng'' ( 朋 "friend") phonetic, and ''kun'' combines the "fish radical" ( 魚) with a ''kun'' ( 昆 "progeny; insect") phonetic. Yang Kun
Yang Kun (; born 18 December 1972) is a Chinese singer-songwriter. He was one of the judges of TV talent show ''The Voice of China'' during the first season and third season of the show. He was on the first season of ''Sing My Song'' and was a contestant as one of the seven initial singers on ''Singer 2019'' finishing fourth place. Career Early years Yang Kun joined Baotou Steel Company art troupe in 1989. In 1993 Yang went to Beijing to start his musical career. He signed a contract with the record label, Beijing Culture Development. With that company, he released his first album (Indifferent), which turned him into a popular singer. From then on, Yang Kun started being widely known by his husky voice and his melancholic songs. Kun Yang (; born 1967), is a Chinese physicist. In 1994 he got his Ph.D. in the condensed matter theory from the Indiana University. Three years later he worked as a postdoc at Princeton University and two years later became Sherman Fairchild's senior research fellow at California Institute of Technology.
