Kulundinsky District (russian: Кулунди́нский райо́н) is an administrativeLaw #28-ZS and municipalLaw #66-ZS district (raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the west of the krai. The area of the district is . Its administrative center is the rural locality (a '' selo'') of Kulunda. As of the 2010 Census, the total population of the district was 23,000, with the population of Kulunda accounting for 63.2% of that number. The West Siberian Plain (russian: За́падно-Сиби́рская равни́на ''Zapadno-Sibirskaya ravnina'') is a large plain that occupies the western portion of Siberia, between the Ural Mountains in the west and the Yenisei River in the east, and by the Altai Mountains on the southeast.
