Kuliyapitiya
Kuliyapitiya is the second largest town in Kurunegala District, North Western Province, Sri Lanka, governed by an Urban Council. It is located north-east of Colombo and from Kurunegala. Kuliyapitiya is home to the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka. Coconut and paddy cultivation are the main economic activities in this area. The town centre includes commerce and retail enterprises. Infrastructure Transport The Kuliyapitiya bus station provides transport to and from other locations in Sri Lanka: Colombo, Jaffna, Gampola, Anuradhapura, Nuwaragala, Katharagama, Kalpitiya, Panduwasnuwara to Colombo via Kuliyapitiya, Kuliyapitiya to Puttlam via Nikaweratiya. Other bus services go to Kurunegala, Negombo, Gampaha, Pannala, Giriulla, Chilaw, Hettipola, Madampe, Bingiriya, Nikaweratiya, Katupotha and Makandura. There are no train stations near Kuliyapitiya. Wayamba University
Wayamba University of Sri Lanka ( si, ශ්‍රී ලංකා වයඹ විශ්වවිද්‍යාලය, ta, இலங்கை வயம்ப பல்கலைக்கழகம்) is the thirteenth national university in Sri Lanka. It was established as the Affiliated University College of North Western Province in 1991 and after it was become the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka "Wayamba mandapa" in 1996.It was a full flagged university naming as Wayamba University of Sri Lanka in 1999. The main purpose of the university is offering English-medium degree, diploma and certificate courses (internal and external) in areas such as Agriculture, Applied Science, Management and Technology for students and working professionals.
