Kul Bahadur Gurung
Kul Bahadur Gurung ( ne, कुल बहादुर गुरुङ) is a Nepalese politician and leader of the Nepali Congress party. Gurung has worked as general secretary of the party. He had been Minister of Education in the cabinet of Girija Prasad Koirala in 1997. Nepali Congress has raised Gurung as the candidate for the President Election 2015. A resident of Ilam District, Gurung had fought for democracy and spent many years in jail for the same charge. In the 2008 Constituent Assembly election he was elected to the assembly from the Ilam-3 constituency, winning 16,286 votes. The Nepali Congress ( ne, नेपाली कांग्रेस ; abbr. NC) is the largest social democratic political party in Nepal. As per the results of recent local election, ''Nepali Congress'' stands as the single largest party of Nepal at all levels of government. It is the current ruling party of Nepal since July 2021. With more than one million active members, the party remains the largest party in Nepal by membership. Subas Chandra Nemwang (Limbu) ( ne, सुवासचन्द्र नेम्वाङ (लिम्बु) , born 1953) is a Nepalese politician and the former chairman of Constituent Assembly of Nepal. He was the first elected Free Students Union chairman of Mahendra Ratna Campus in Ilam District, Ilam and also elected as general secretary of Nepal Bar Association in 1987. Early career and background Born in Suntalabari in Ilam District, Nemwang emerged victorious from Ilam-2 in all elections held after the restoration of People's Movement I (1990), democracy in 1990.
