Kudianmala
Naduvil is a small town in Kannur district in the Indian State of Kerala. The town is the headquarters of Naduvil Grama panchayat. Paithalmala is a hill station and tourist attraction near Kudiyanmala and Naduvil. Paithalmala is located at the border of Kerala and Karnataka. The Kodagu district of Karnataka is at the eastern side of Paithalmala. It was one of the major centers of Syrian Christian migration (Malabar migration). Migration of mainly Syrian Christian families to Kudiyanmala started in the 1950s and continued until the 1970s. Etymology The name Kudiyanmala has a history behind it. The ruler of the Chirakkal Principality had a sister, who was accused of adultery. Accompanied by servants she was sent to Kudiattivalappu. Chemperi
Chemperi is a town on the bank of the Chemperi River, in the Western Ghat, in the Kannur district of South India. Paithalmala
Paithalmala is a hill station in the Kannur district of Kerala in India, located near Pottenplave. At a height of 1372 m above sea level, it is the highest geographic peak in Kannur. It is located 40 km from Taliparamba and 65 km from Kannur. Nestled in the Kerala Karnataka border near to Kodagu forests, it lies in the Western Ghats. Trekking at Paithalmala Paithalmala is a popular trekking destination. There are two trekking seasons at Paithalmala: monsoon and summer. Trekking in Paithalmala can be challenging due to frequent rain, leeches, and occasional elephant visits. Monsoon is followed by a cool climate in Paithalmala and the grass surrounding the hills grow to their fullest size, making it difficult to walk through. Hill Highway (Kerala)
The State Highway 59 (SH-59) is the longest state highway in Kerala. The proposed highway extends from Nandarapadavu in Kasaragod district to Parassala in Thiruvananthapuram district, will have a length of 1332.16 km and will pass through 13 of the 14 districts, the exception being Alappuzha as that district is not part of the hilly ranges of Kerala. 2011 Census Of India
The 2011 Census of India or the 15th Indian Census was conducted in two phases, house listing and population enumeration. The House listing phase began on 1 April 2010 and involved the collection of information about all buildings. Information for National Population Register (NPR) was also collected in the first phase, which will be used to issue a 12-digit unique identification number to all registered Indian residents by Unique Identification Authority of India.
