Kubrat Municipality ( bg, Община Кубрат) is a Municipalities of Bulgaria, municipality (''obshtina'') in Razgrad Province, Northeastern Bulgaria, located in the Danubian Plain (Bulgaria), Danubian Plain about 10 km south of Danube river. It is named after its administrative centre - the town of Kubrat (town), Kubrat. Tutrakan Municipality ( bg, Община Тутракан) is a municipality ('' obshtina'') in Silistra Province, Northeastern Bulgaria, located along the right bank of Danube river in the Danubian Plain. It is named after its administrative centre - the town of Tutrakan. The municipality embraces a territory of 448.35 km² with a population of 16,920 inhabitants, as of December 2009. The main road 21 crosses the area from east to west, connecting the province centre of Silistra with the city of Ruse. Terter (village)
The House of Terter ( bg, Тертер), also Terterids or Terterovtsi (Тертеровци), was a Bulgarian noble and royal house of Cuman origin,István Vásáry (2005) ''Cumans and Tatars'', Cambridge University Press, p. 2 a branch of the Cuman noble dynasty of Terteroba, that ruled the Second Bulgarian Empire between 1280 and 1292, as well as between 1300 and 1323. History Origin The Terterids were originally of Cuman origin (from the Cuman-Kipchak confederation), according to Plamen Pavlov they were a branch of the Cuman noble dynasty of Terteroba who had settled in Bulgaria as part of the second wave of Cuman migration, coming from the Kingdom of Hungary after 1241. The Terteroba had ruled the Cuman-Kipchak confederation in the late 11th century, as well as in the mid-13th century under Khan Köten. Sevar (village)
Sevar ( bg, Севар) was a ruler of Bulgaria in the 8th century. The Nominalia of the Bulgarian khans states that Sevar belonged to the Dulo clan and ruled for 15 years. According to the chronology developed by Moskov, Sevar would have reigned in 721–737. Other chronologies place his reign in 738–754. According to historians such as Steven Runciman and David Marshall Lang, Sevar was the last ruler of the Dulo dynasty and with Sevar died out the lineage of Attila the Hun. It has been suggested that Sevar‘s name is derived from Persian ''Ziwar'' (adornment). Although initially a female name, it could also serve as a component of male names, as suggested by Chuvash pre-Christian name ''Aksĕver''. Another etymology of Aksever would be from the Turkic word Ak (white), and Sever (to like) which has its roots in the Oghur Volga Bulgar word Sev or Sav in Chuvash, thereby the name Sevar could also be of Turkic etymology.
