Kualanamu International Airport Station (KNM) is an airport railway station located in Kualanamu International Airport complex, in Beringin, Beringin, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, Indonesia. The station is only about 50 meters from the airport building. This station is currently serving Kualanamu Airport Rail Link trips to Medan Station. This station has only two tracks. However, the station is classified as large class station, with the leadership of ''Kepala Stasiun Besar (KSB) ( en, Main Station Chief)'', Vice-KSB and aided dispatcher (Regulatory Train Journey). This station has three platforms. Platforms 1 and 3 are used for passengers arriving from Medan, while the second platform is used for passengers leaving for Medan Station. Deli Serdang Regency
Deli Serdang ( id, Kabupaten Deli Serdang; Jawi: دلي سردڠ) is a regency in the Indonesian province of North Sumatra. It surrounds the city of Medan, and also borders the city of Binjai, which is effectively a bedroom community for Medan. It occupies an area of 2,497.72 sq.km (964.38 sq miles). Kualanamu Airport Railink Services (ARS) ( id, KA Bandara Kualanamu) is an airport rail link service in Medan in North Sumatra, Indonesia. The rail link is built to cut travel time from Medan railway station to Kualanamu International Airport, as roads connecting the airport and Medan city center are frequently affected by traffic congestion. The Kualanamu ARS is the first airport rail link in Indonesia connecting passenger between the city centre and airport. Background Train services is provided by PT Railink, a joint venture between PT Angkasa Pura II and PT Kereta Api Indonesia. Kualanamu International Airport ( id, Bandar Udara Internasional Kualanamu) (often spelled as Kuala Namu and informally abbreviated KNIA) is an international airport serving Medan, Indonesia, and other parts of North Sumatra.
