Książ Landscape Park
Książ Landscape Park (''Książański Park Krajobrazowy'') is a protected area ( Landscape Park) in south-western Poland, established in 1981, covering an area of . It takes its name from the historic castle of Książ, which overlooks the Pełcznica River. The Park lies within Lower Silesian Voivodeship: in Świdnica County (Gmina Dobromierz, Świebodzice, Gmina Świdnica) and Wałbrzych County ( Gmina Stare Bogaczowice). Lower Silesian Voivodeship
Lower Silesian Voivodeship, or Lower Silesia Province, in southwestern Poland, is one of the 16 voivodeships (provinces) into which Poland is divided. The voivodeship was created on 1 January 1999 out of the former Wrocław, Legnica, Wałbrzych and Jelenia Góra Voivodeships, following the Polish local government reforms adopted in 1998. Protected areas or conservation areas are locations which receive protection because of their recognized natural, ecological or cultural values. There are several kinds of protected areas, which vary by level of protection depending on the enabling laws of each country or the regulations of the international organizations involved. Pełcznica is a river of Poland, a tributary of the Strzegomka. The Pełcznica River is located in Lower Silesia, and is the largest tributary of the Strzegomka, 39 km. in length. The source of the river begins above Walbrzych, in the Wałbrzych Mountains, on the northern slopes of the Sylvan Massif, near the old Glinik. Świebodzice
Świebodzice (; szl, Frybork; german: Freiburg) is a town in south-western Poland with 22,793 inhabitants (). It is situated in Świdnica County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship (from 1975–1998 it was in the former Wałbrzych Voivodeship). The town is situated close to Książ Castle, which during World War II, together with the cave complex, was expanded to create private quarters for Adolf Hitler. The town dates back to the medieval Kingdom of Poland. It was granted town rights by 1279. During World War II, the Germans established a subcamp of the Gross-Rosen concentration camp in the town. In 1957 Pełcznica, and in 1973 Ciernie, were included within the town limits as its new districts. Sports football club is based in Świebodzice.
