Krystal Scott
Krystal Scott (born 17 October 1994) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Gold Coast Suns in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She was also listed for two years with Brisbane, but didn't make an appearance. Early life Scott was born in Adelaide and moved to the Gold Coast at seven years of age where she began pursuing a career in tennis as a teenager. She attended King's Christian College throughout her upbringing and relocated to Virginia in the United States in 2014 when she accepted a tennis scholarship to attend Norfolk State University. Following her two seasons with NSU, she returned to the Gold Coast and was inspired to try Australian rules football for the first time at 22 years of age after seeing the success of the inaugural AFLW season. Bond University Football Club
Bond University AFL, nicknamed as the ''Bull Sharks'', is a Gold Coast based Australian rules football club operating out of Bond University. The club currently competes in the Queensland Football Association Division Two and the Queensland Women's Football League competitions. The club is currently one of two universities that supply teams to AFL Queensland, the other being University of Queensland. History The Bond University Football Club was formed in 2011 and entered the AFLQ Division 3 Central league for their inaugural season. Bond would play home games at the Robina Roos' ground on Scottsdale Drive due to unsuitable facilities existing at the university. Nicknamed the Bull Sharks, the club surprised many by compiling a 14–1 record through the home and away season to claim the minor premiership. The 2022 AFL Women's season was the sixth season of the AFL Women's competition, the highest-level senior women's Australian rules football competition in Australia. 2022 AFL Women's Draft
The 2022 AFL Women's draft consists of the various periods when the 18 clubs in the AFL Women's competition can recruit players prior to the competition's seventh season. Expansion club signing period The expansion clubs Essendon, Hawthorn, Port Adelaide, and Sydney are able to sign up to 14 current AFLW players before the sign and trade period. They can also pre-list under-18 players from their Next Generation Academy (NGA) region or players as open-age signings if they previously nominated for the AFLW draft and aren't on a current list. The 2017 AFL Women's draft consisted of the various periods when the eight clubs in the AFL Women's competition could recruit players prior to the competition's 2018 season. As the previous season's player contracts were all capped at one-year deals, all existing AFLW players must be re-signed prior to the 2018 season. Entering the second season of the competition, clubs will have larger list sizes, with 27 senior listed players (up from 25), and three rookie listed players (up from two). Molly Ritson
Molly Ritson (born 12 August 1999) is an Australian rules footballer who played for Brisbane and Gold Coast in the AFL Women's competition (AFLW). Early life Ritson grew up on the Gold Coast and attended Aquinas College throughout her upbringing. She began playing junior football with Surfers Paradise at a young age before switching to Southport and ultimately Bond University in an attempt to be drafted. Her decision paid off when the Brisbane Lions drafted her with the 14th pick in the 2017 AFL Women's rookie draft.
