Krush were a UK dance music group, who had a crossover hit single with "House Arrest" in 1987. Career The group consisted of musicians Mark Gamble, Cassius Campbell and record producers Mark Brydon and Robert Gordon. Ruth Joy was the featured vocalist. "House Arrest", a sample-based dance track, was a No. 3 hit on the UK Singles Chart in December 1987 into January 1988. Alongside similar releases by artists such as Bomb the Bass and S'Express, "House Arrest" is considered a pioneering example of British house music. It has since been licensed to numerous compilation albums. Their second single "Walking on Sunshine" was a club hit in 1992, and peaked at No. 71 on the UK Singles Chart. Mark Errington Brydon is an English Bass guitar, bassist, guitarist, composer, arranger, recording engineer, remix artist and record producer, producer best known as a member of the group Moloko. Previous work He comes from Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, Sunderland, England, but established himself in the Sheffield music scene, most notably with the funk band Chakk whose advance from MCA Records financed the building of FON Studios. Before its bankruptcy, Brydon had divested himself of his interests in legendary FON Studios, for which he did everything from designing the studio architecture to hand-choosing equipment. Brydon made significant contributions to the 1987 British pop hit "House Arrest (song), House Arrest" by Krush. Moloko
Moloko () were an Irish-English electronic music duo formed in Sheffield, England, consisting of vocalist Róisín Murphy and producer Mark Brydon. Blending elements of electronica and dance music, they are best known for their UK top 10 singles " The Time Is Now" (2000) and "Familiar Feeling" (2003), as well as the 1999 Boris Dlugosch remix of " Sing It Back" which became an international hit. Loose Ends (also known as Loose End) are a British R&B band that had several hit records throughout the 1980s and into the 1990s. The trio was formed in London in 1980, initially comprising vocalist and guitarist Carl McIntosh, vocalist Jane Eugene, and keyboard player Steve Nichol. Despite having seen success throughout the 1980s, both Nichol and Eugene left the group in 1989, bringing an end to the band's most successful phase.
