Krivogaštani ( mk, ) is a village situated near Prilep on the Pelagonian plain in North Macedonia. The village is a seat of the Krivogaštani municipality. Demographics According to the 1467-68 Ottoman defter, Krivogaštani appears being largely inhabited by an Albanian population. The register displayed mixed Albanian and Slavic anthroponymy, with instances of individuals bearing both Slavic and Albanian names. The names are: ''Gjin Arbanas (t.Arnaut), Prono (Projo) his brother, Pejo Marin-i, Martin Kovaç-i, Stepan Berisha, Stala Berisha (Berisha)''. According to the 2002 census, the village had a total of 1,870 inhabitants. The Pelagonia Statistical Region ( mk, Пелагониски Регион) is one of eight statistical regions of North Macedonia. It is located in southwestern part of the country along the eponymous plain. Municipalities Of North Macedonia
The municipalities are the first-order administrative divisions of North Macedonia. North Macedonia is currently organized into 80 municipalities ( mk, општини, ''opštini''; singular: општина, ''opština,'' Albanian: ''komunat''; singular: ''komuna''), established in February 2013; 10 of the municipalities constitute the City of Skopje (or Greater Skopje), a distinct unit of local self-governance and the country's capital. Pelagonia
Pelagonia ( mk, Пелагонија, Pelagonija; el, Πελαγονíα, Pelagonía) is a geographical region of Macedonia named after the ancient kingdom. Ancient Pelagonia roughly corresponded to the present-day municipalities of Bitola, Prilep, Mogila, Novaci, Kruševo, and Krivogaštani in North Macedonia and to the municipalities of Florina, Amyntaio and Prespes in Greece. Macedonian Third Football League
The Macedonian Third League ( mk, Македонска Трета Лига - Makedonska Treta Liga) is the third highest football competition in North Macedonia. In 2019–20, the competition will be divided into five divisions named Third League - North (Трета Лига - Север), Third League - Center (Трета Лига - Центар), Third League - Southeast (Трета Лига - Југоисток), Third League - West (Трета Лига - Запад) and Third League - Southwest (Трета Лига-Југозапад). Prilep
Prilep ( mk, Прилеп ) is the fourth-largest city in North Macedonia. It has a population of 66,246 and is known as "the city under Marko's Towers" because of its proximity to the towers of Prince Marko. Name The name of Prilep appeared first as ''Πρίλαπος''. The old fortress was attached to the rocky hilltop, and its name means “stuck” ''on the rocks'' in Old Church Slavonic. Romani People In North Macedonia
According to the last census from 2002, there were 53,879 people counted as Romani, the majority are Muslim Romani people in what is now North Macedonia, or 2.66% of the population. Another 3,843 people have been counted as "Egyptians" (0.2%). One of the majority group are the Arlije, and Gurbeti. Other sources claim the number to be between 80,000 and 260 000 Roma in North Macedonia or approximately 4 to 12% of the total population.
