Kristoffer Ventura
Kristoffer Ventura (born 24 February 1995) is a Norwegian professional golfer who plays on the Korn Ferry Tour. Amateur career Born in Puebla, Mexico to a Mexican father and Norwegian mother, Ventura spent his first years in Mexico before moving to Rygge, Norway, aged 12. As an amateur, he represented Norway at the 2012 and 2016 Eisenhower Trophy, and represented Europe in the 2010 Junior Ryder Cup and the Continent of Europe in the 2011 and 2013 Jacques Léglise Trophy. He was runner-up at the 2011 European Young Masters and won the 2011 French International Boys Championship and the 2012 French Boys Championship. He attended the WANG Toppidrett Golf School in Oslo, before playing collegiate golf at Oklahoma State University where he was teammates with Viktor Hovland and Matthew Wolff and member of the 2018 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship team. 2019 Korn Ferry Tour
The 2019 Korn Ferry Tour was the 30th season of the top developmental tour for the PGA Tour in men's golf. The season began under the Web.com Tour name but changed in June to the Korn Ferry Tour. The season ran from January 13 to September 2 and consists of 27 official money tournaments, four of them played outside of the United States. The 2017 European Amateur Team Championship took place 11–15 July at Diamond Country Club, in Atzenbrugg, Austria. It was the 34th men's golf European Amateur Team Championship. Venue The hosting Diamond Championship Course at Diamond Country Club, surrounding a centrally located 10-hectare artificial lake, located in Atzenbrugg in the district of Tulln in the Austrian state of Lower Austria, 35 kilometres west of the city center of capital Vienna, was designed by Jeremy Pern and opened in 2002. The 2016 European Amateur Team Championship took place 5–9 July at Golf de Chantilly, outside Paris, France. It was the 33rd men's golf European Amateur Team Championship. Venue The hosting club was founded in 1909. The Vineuil Course, situated in Chantilly, in the forest of the Hauts-de-France region of Northern France, 50 kilometres (30 miles) north of the center of Paris, close to the Château de Chantilly and Chantilly Racecourse, was originally designed by John Henry Taylor and later redesigned by Tom Simpson and Donald Steel. The European Amateur Team Championship is a European amateur team golf championship for men organised by the European Golf Association which was introduced in 1959. The championship was played in odd-numbered years from 1959 to 2007 and has been played annually since 2008 (with the exception of 2012). European Boys' Team Championship
The European Boys' Team Championship (Jean-Louis Dupont Trophy) is a European amateur team golf championship for men up to 18 organized by the European Golf Association. The inaugural event was held in 1980 and it has been played annually since. Since the European Youths' Team Championship, for men under 22, was discontinued in 2006, due to the trend of players reaching elite level at an earlier age, the European Boys' Team Championship has been regarded as the most important junior team event in Europe outside the British Isles. The Players Championship
The Players Championship (commonly known as simply The Players, stylized by the PGA Tour as The PLAYERS Championship) is an annual golf tournament on the PGA Tour. Originally known as the Tournament Players Championship, it began in 1974. The Players Championship at one point offered the highest purse of any tournament in golf ($20 million). The field usually includes the top 50 players in the world rankings, but unlike the major championships and World Golf Championships events, it is owned by the PGA Tour and not an official event on other tours. Official World Golf Ranking
The Official World Golf Ranking is a system for rating the performance level of professional golfers. It was started in 1986. The rankings are based on a player's position in individual tournaments (i.e. not pairs or team events) over a "rolling" two-year period. New rankings are calculated each week. During 2018, nearly 400 tournaments on 20 tours were covered by the ranking system. All players competing in these tournaments are included in the rankings. In 2022, 23 tours factored into the world rankings. As well as being of general interest, the rankings have an additional importance, in that they are used as one of the qualifying criteria for entry into a number of leading tournaments. The top 25 players on the Korn Ferry Tour's regular-season points list in 2019 earned PGA Tour cards for 2020. The Finals, which concluded on September 2, determined the other 25 players to earn PGA Tour cards and the initial priority order of all 50.
