Kristine Lunde
Kristine Lunde-Borgersen (born 30 March 1980) is a retired Norway, Norwegian team handball, handballer who played for the Norway women's national handball team, Norwegian national team. She is Olympic champion, World Champion and three times European champion. She is the twin sister of fellow handball player Katrine Lunde. On 13 June 2017, she announced her return to playing handball for the 2017–2018 season, to replace Marta Tomac, who is out of play following a severe injury. Club career Lunde Borgersen started her handball career in Norwegian clubs Hånes IF, Hånes, Kristiansands IF, Kristiansand and Våg Vipers. In 2004, she moved to Denmark and played for Aalborg DH for 3 seasons. In 2007, she signed a 3-year contract with Viborg HK, Viborg where she played together with her twin sister, Katrine Lunde Haraldsen. European Women's Handball Championship
The European Women's Handball Championship is the official competition for senior women's national handball teams of Europe, and takes place every two years. In addition to crowning the European champions, the tournament also serves as a qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games and World Championship. The Danish Women's Handball League ( da, Damehåndboldligaen) is the top professional league for Denmark, Danish women's Team handball, handball clubs. Katrine Lunde (former Haraldsen; born 30 March 1980) is a Norwegian handball goalkeeper for Vipers Kristiansand and the Norwegian national team. She is the twin sister of fellow handball player Kristine Lunde-Borgersen. Her sporting achievements include gold medals with the Norwegian national team at the Olympic Games, World Championships and European Championships, as well as club victories in the EHF Champions League, and national championships in Denmark, Hungary, Russia and Norway. Career Club She started her club career in Hånes, and later played for Kristiansand, Våg and Aalborg DH. She won the Champions League with Viborg in 2009 and 2010. Marta Tomac (born 20 September 1990) is a Norwegian-Croatian professional handball player for Vipers Kristiansand and the Norwegian national team. Team Handball
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. 2012 European Women's Handball Championship
The 2012 European Women's Handball Championship was held in Serbia from 4 to 16 December. Originally the tournament was scheduled to be held in the Netherlands but on 4 June 2012 the Dutch Handball Federation withdrew from the organization. Subsequently, the European Handball Federation (EHF) launched a new bidding process and eventually selected Serbia as the new host on 18 June 2012. Montenegro captured their first title by defeating defending champion Norway 34–31 in the final.
