Kristiania IF
Oslo Idrettslag is a Norwegian multi-sports club from Oslo, with sections for swimming, speed skating, figure skating and athletics. History It was founded on 3 September 1893 as Kristiania Idrætsforening, partly on the ruins of the clubs ''Dovre'', ''Kristiania SF'' and ''SF Ørnen''. The main sports were athletics, speed skating and Nordic skiing. Its first sports field was at Klosterengen in Gamle Oslo, later a speed skating track at Frognerjordet. In 1907 a field at Bislett was secured for the future Bislett stadion, by the club's foremost administrator Martinus Lørdahl. The club changed its name to Oslo Idrettslag after the city Kristiania in 1924 changed its name to Oslo. The club acquired a sports cabin at Kolsåstoppen in Bærum in 1916. The cabin had formerly been displayed at the 1914 Jubilee Exhibition, as a contribution from the Norwegian Trekking Association. Frogner Stadion
Frogner stadion is a sports stadium in Oslo, Norway, which has artificial ice in the winter for speed skating and bandy. The artificial grass is used in the summer for soccer and American football. It is located close to the Frogner Park, between the park and Majorstuen. One match, Norway national bandy team, Norway-Belarus national bandy team, Belarus, was played here at the 2013 Bandy World Championship. History It opened in 1901, and was built by the speed skating club Oslo SK, Kristiania Skøiteklub. In 1914, the stadium was moved to its current position, due to the 1914 Jubilee Exhibition. At the inaugural race in 1914, two speed skating world records were set by Oscar Mathisen, in 500 m and 1,500 m. In 1928, Oslo Municipality took over responsibility for the stadium. Kaare Bache (28 April 1888 – 13 March 1978) was a Norwegian triple jumper. He represented Kristiania IF and Oslo IL. At the 1920 Summer Olympics he finished ninth in the triple jump final with a jump of 13.64 metres. He became Norwegian champion in triple jump in 1920 and 1925 and in decathlon in 1921. Einar Tommelstad (19 January 1909 – 7 November 1983) was a Norwegian high jumper. He represented Oslo IL. At the 1928 Summer Olympics he finished eleventh in the high jump final with a jump of 1.84 metres. He became Norwegian high jump champion in 1928, and also won the Norwegian championships in pentathlon in 1930. Einar Ræder
Einar Ræder (2 February 1896 – 10 March 1976) was a Norwegian long jumper. He represented Kristiania IF in Oslo. Ræder was born in Rindal in Møre og Romsdal county. At the 1920 Summer Olympics he finished eighth in the long jump final with a jump of 6.585 metres. He also competed in decathlon, but did not finish the competition. He never became Norwegian champion in long jump, but won the Norwegian championships in pentathlon in 1920 and 1923 and decathlon in 1922 and 1923. Henry Olsen
Henry Martinus Olsen (March 11, 1887 – August 16, 1978) was a Norwegian track and field athlete who specialized in the jumping events. He represented Kristiania IF. Participating at the 1908 Summer Olympics, he finished thirteenth in both high jump and triple jump. He also participated in the long jump competition but his result is unknown. Olsen became Norwegian champion, four times, in the events standing high jump twice and he won two titles in 1913, in the 110 hurles and in standing long jump. He came in second and third several times in the jumping events.
