Krishna Kumar (actor)
Krishna Kumar (born 12 June 1968) is an Indian actor and politician from Kerala who appears in Malayalam and Tamil films and television. He is also a former News Reader in Doordarshan and All India Radio. He is now a BJP national council member from Kerala. Early life Krishna Kumar was born as the younger of the two sons of Gopalakrishnan Nair and Retnamma at Thiruvananthapuram. Members in his family had the background of serving in Indian military, hence, Kumar was also preparing to join the force when he got the offer to work as a news presenter in Doordarshan. It was his neighbor, a senior official working in Doordarshan, who recognised him to have a photogenic face and offered him the job in the government-owned broadcasting company, Kumar accepted it and decided to move on to a career in media. Kumar Krishna
Kumar Krishna (21 June 1928-19 September 2014) was an American entomologist of Indian origin. He was an expert on the termites and published the definitive systematic treatment of the termites of the world in a seven volume ''Treatise on the Isoptera of the world'' in 2013 written with collaborators. Kumar was born in Rangoon and grew up in Dehra Dun where his father lived as an army physician who had served as a major in World War I. Kumar studied at the Agra University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in 1950 followed by a Master's degree from the University of Lucknow in 1952. He worked as a research assistant at the Forest Research Institute to Mithan Lal Roonwal, a specialist on termites and became very interested in the group. He moved to the University of Minnesota in 1954 and then moved to the University of Chicago to pursue a Ph.D. under Alfred E. Emerson (1896–1976). Krishna Kumar (chemist)
Krishna Kumar (born 1 November 1970) is an Indian American chemist whose research spans organic chemistry, chemical biology, bioorganic chemistry, biophysics and cell biology. He is currently Robinson Professor of Chemistry and was also Chemistry Department Chair from 2006 to 2009; and from 2012 to 2018 at Tufts University. Career Prior to Tufts University, he was at the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California and got his bachelor's degree in Chemistry with honors from St. Stephen's College, Delhi and a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry (1996) from Brown University. Kumar has given proteins hyperstable folding properties by inserting fluorinated amino acids into them. Krishna Kumar, better known by his stage name K, is an Indian music composer. Background K did his schooling at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan, Chennai, where he took lessons in playing the keyboard. He quickly progressed and finished Grade 8 certificate exams in music with the Trinity College of Music, London. K graduated in Genetic Engineering (BTech) from SRM University, Chennai. His musical talent found an outlet when he joined his first rock band aged 12, and then played with a successful funk/rock and roll band ‘''Panatella''’ for several years after that. He moved to creating jingles for advertisements and corporate films, singing several songs for the same.
