Kris Jenkins (basketball)
Kris Jenkins (born November 20, 1993) is an American former professional basketball player who is a student athlete development assistant at Villanova University. He played college basketball for the Villanova Wildcats and is best known for hitting the buzzer-beating three-point shot to win the 2016 NCAA championship game. High school career Jenkins attended Gonzaga College High School. As a junior in 2011–12, he averaged 20.6 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. 2016–17 Villanova Wildcats Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 Villanova Wildcats men's basketball team represented Villanova University in the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Led by head coach Jay Wright in his 16th year, the Wildcats participated in the Big East Conference and played their home games at The Pavilion, with some select home games at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They finished the season 32–4, 15–3 in Big East play to win the regular season championship. In the Big East tournament, they defeated St. John's, Seton Hall, and Creighton to win the tournament championship. As a result, they received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. The Wildcats were given the Tournament's overall No. 1 seed as a No. 1 seed in the East region. North Carolina Tar Heels Men's Basketball
The North Carolina Tar Heels Men's basketball program is the college basketball team of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Nate Britt
Nathaniel C. Britt II (born January 13, 1994) is an American former professional basketball player. He had a decorated college career at North Carolina where he won a national NCAA championship in 2017. Following this, Britt played five seasons of professional basketball in several countries. Early life Britt is the son of Melody Britt and Nate Britt Sr, a police officer. He has a younger sister, Natalya. His friendship with Kris Jenkins, who went on to play for Villanova, began when they were 11 years old playing for the same AAU team coached by Britt's father. The Britts adopted Jenkins in 2007 into their Upper Marlboro, Maryland home. Britt was named Washington, D.C. player of the year in high school. 2017 NBA Summer League
The 2017 NBA Summer League consisted of three pro basketball leagues organized by the National Basketball Association (NBA): the Orlando Pro Summer League, Utah Jazz Summer League, and Las Vegas Summer League. Eight teams participated in the week-long Orlando Pro Summer League at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, from July 1 to 6, 2017. Each team played five games over the course of the week, with a championship day being played on the final day of the league.
