Kris Jenkins (American Football, Born 2001)
Kristopher Rudy-Charles Jenkins Jr. (born October 10, 2001) is an American football defensive tackle. He played college football at Michigan. Jenkins was an All-American as a senior, leading Michigan to a national championship in 2023. He is the son of former NFL player Kris Jenkins. Career Jenkins was born on October 10, 2001, in Olney, Maryland, later attending Our Lady of Good Counsel High School. He committed to play college football at the University of Michigan. Jenkins played in one game as a true freshman at Michigan in 2020. In 2021, he played in all 14 games, with four starts, and had 22 tackles. As a junior in 2022, he started all 14 games and had 54 tackles and two sacks. He returned to Michigan for his senior season in 2023, captaining Michigan to a national championship. Defensive Tackle
A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that will typically line up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the offensive guards, however he may also line up opposite one of the tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's individual defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. These roles may include merely holding the point of attack by refusing to be moved, or penetrating a certain gap between offensive linemen to break up a play in the opponent's backfield. If a defensive tackle reads a pass play, his primary responsibility is to pursue the quarterback, or simply knock the pass down at the line if it is within arm's reach. Cullen Darome Jenkins (born January 20, 1981) is a former American football defensive end. He was signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2003.
