Jan A. Kregel (born 19 April 1944) is an American post-Keynesian economist. Kregel has served since 2006 as Professor of Finance and Development at Tallinn University of Technology, Tallinn, Estonia. He is an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins SAIS (SAIS), whose Bologna Center he co-directed in the late 1980s, and a visiting professor at the University of Missouri–Kansas City. He is also one of the Senior Scholars at the Levy Economics Institute of Bard College. Until 2007, he was Chief of the Policy Analysis and Development Branch of the Financing for Development Office of United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs. Until 2004, he was High Level Expert in International Finance and Macroeconomics in the New York Liaison Office of UNCTAD, being in essence its chief economist. Marinus Kregel
Marinus John Kregel (February 18, 1911 – September 6, 1996) was an American football, basketball, baseball, and track coach and college athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach at Mission House College—now known as Lakeland University—in Plymouth, Wisconsin from 1937 to 1942 and again from 1946 to 1950, compiling a record of 40–32–2. Kregel was also the head basketball coach at Mission House from 1937 to 1943 and again from 1946 to 1951, Central College in Pella, Iowa from 1951 to 1965, and Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, Georgia from 1965 to 1978. Kregel attended La Crosse State Teachers College—now known as University of Wisconsin–La Crosse—before transferring to Central College. Kregel Publications is an Evangelical Christian book publisher based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It has three subdivisions: ''Kregel Publications'', ''Editorial Portavoz'' and ''Kregel Parable Bookstore''. History The company was founded in 1909, by Louis Kregel as 'Kregel Books'. The company initially sold Dutch language Christian books generally imported from Holland. Soon after the son, Robert Kregel (aged 20) took over the firm in 1949 the company changes its name to 'Kregel Publications' and started publishing classic reprints.
