Kothapalli Geetha is an Indian Politician and a former member of parliament from Araku (Lok Sabha constituency), Andhra Pradesh. She won the 2014 Indian general election from Araku Constituency in a reserved Scheduled Tribe (ST) seat being a Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) candidate. She started the Jana Jagruti Party in 2018. She later joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on 2019. Political career Geetha was elected as a MP from Araku (Lok Sabha constituency) as YSRCP candidate from the (ST) community. She started, the Jana Jagruti Party, a new political party on 24 August 2018 with the aim of challenging the state's caste politics.
