Koteli is a Village development committee (Nepal), village development committee in Dadeldhura District in the Mahakali Zone of western Nepal. Dadeldhura District
Dadeldhura, a part of Sudurpashchim Province, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. The district, with Dadeldhura as its district headquarters, covers an area of and had a population of 126,162 in 2001 and 142,094 in 2011. The region has a mountainous landscape that contains many religious temples. The district is seldom visited by tourists but contains local routes to Mt Kailash in Tibet, Ra Ra Lake in Humla district, and the last remaining remnants of the Far Western Malla Kingdom. Nagi Malla was the last royal to live here before the Nepalese unification. The spoken language is Doteli and the majority of inhabitants are Hindu. Dadeldhura is the most developed district among the other hilly districts in the far western region. Dadeldhura is the hometown of current prime minister of Nepal Hon. Sher Bahadur Deuba.
