Muzaffargarh District ( ur, ) is a district of the Punjab province of Pakistan. Its capital is Muzaffargarh city. It lies on the bank of the Chenab River. Administration The district is administratively divided into the following three tehsils (subdivisions), which contain a total of 93 Union Councils: Demographics At the time of the 2017 census the district had a population of 4,328,549, of which 2,223,085 were males and 2,105,145 females.
