Kosti Klemelä
Kosti Klemelä (29 February 1920 – 26 March 2006) was a Finnish actor. He is best remembered for playing the role of Lt. Koskela in the Edvin Laine film ''The Unknown Soldier (1955 film), The Unknown Soldier'' (1955). In addition to his film career, he worked for the Finnish National Theatre until his retirement. He considered his theatrical career to be more important to him than his film career. He is buried in the Hietaniemi Cemetery in Helsinki. Filmography References External links

''Here, Beneath the North Star'' ( fi, Täällä Pohjantähden alla) is a 1968 Finnish drama film directed by Edvin Laine. It was entered into the 6th Moscow International Film Festival. The film is based on the first two volumes of Väinö Linna's novel trilogy '' Under the North Star''. The third volume was adapted into a film two years later under the title ''Akseli and Elina''. Plot Film begins the founding of the Koskela croft in the 1880s and tells the story of the life of the people of the imaginary Pentinkulma village until about 1920. The central theme is the unstable position of crofters and their goal to improve their living conditions. The rural upper class, such as the priestly family, and the poor people, whose socio-economic status is weaker than that of crofters, also play an important role. ''Pater Noster'' (also known as ''Our Father...''; fi, Isä meidän) is a 1993 Finnish black-and-white drama film written and directed by Veikko Aaltonen. It tells the story of a young man returning to his childhood home, who decides to face painful memories related to his formerly abusive but today demented father. The film stars Hannu Kivioja, Martti Katajisto and Elina Hurme. In 1994, the film received three Jussi Awards: Hannu Kivioja for best actor, Veikko Aaltonen for best director and Olavi Tuomi for best cinematography.
