Kosovan Parliamentary Election, 2004
Parliamentary elections were held in Kosovo on 24 October 2004. This was the second time the Assembly of Kosovo had a national election. The first form of national elections in Kosovo were in the 2001 Kosovan parliamentary election. They were the first national elections that were only partially dependent on OSCE institutions. The next election would be the 2007 Kosovan parliamentary election. Parliamentary elections were held in Kosovo on 17 November 2001. The first President of Kosovo taking office after the start of the UN Administration Ibrahim Rugova, was re elected and took office on 2 March 2002. Social Democratic Party Of Kosovo
The Social Democratic Party of Kosovo ( sq, Partia Socialdemokrate e Kosovës, PSD) is a political party in Kosovo. It was established on 10 February 1990 by Kaqusha Jashari, and was the second political party to be established in the newly pluralist Kosovo. Leadership The current leader of the party is Dardan Molliqaj. He was chosen at the party's meeting on 15 December 2019. Presidents of the Social Democratic Party of Kosovo (1990–present) In Parliament PSD participated in the elections of 2017 in a coalition with PDK, AAK and Nisma, but failed to get any seat in the parliament. The United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) is the officially mandated mission of the United Nations in Kosovo. The UNMIK describes its mandate as being to "help the United Nations Security Council achieve an overall objective, namely, to ensure conditions for a peaceful and normal life for all inhabitants of Kosovo and advance regional stability in the Western Balkans." Bajram Rexhepi
Bajram Rexhepi (3 June 1954 – 21 August 2017), was a Kosovar politician who served as the first elected post-war prime minister and later as interior minister of Kosovo and as a member of the Kosovo Assembly. He was a member of the second largest political party in Kosovo, the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK). Early life and education Rexhepi was born in Mitrovica, Kosovo on 3 June 1954. He graduated from the University of Prishtina and completed his postgraduate studies at the University of Zagreb in 1985. Early career Rexhepi spent most of his career working as a surgeon and achieved fame as the best surgeon for circumcisions in the Mitrovica region. During the 1999 Kosovo War, Rexhepi joined the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) and spent three months serving as a field doctor.
