Koshekhablsky District
Koshekhablsky District (russian: Кошеха́бльский райо́н; ady, Кощхьэблэ къедзыгъо) is an administrativeLaw #171 and a municipalLaw #282 district (raion), one of the seven in the Republic of Adygea, Russia. It is located in the east of the republic and borders with Kurganinsky District of Krasnodar Krai in the north and northeast, Labinsky District of Krasnodar Krai in the east, Mostovsky District of Krasnodar Krai in the south, Giaginsky District in the west, and with Shovgenovsky District in the northwest. The Shapsug ( ady, шапсыгъ , russian: шапсуги, tr, Şapsığlar, ar, الشابسوغ, he, שפסוגים) (also known as the Shapsugh or Shapsogh) are one of the twelve major Circassian tribes. Historically, the Shapsug tribe comprised one of the largest groups of the Black Sea Adyghe (Причерноморские адыги).
