Korova (Liverpool)
Korova was a bar, music venue and restaurant located at 32 Hope Street, Liverpool, England. Before moving to its current premises, it was located on Fleet Street close to Concert Square. Its name referenced the Korova Milk Bar from '' A Clockwork Orange''.. It has since been relaunched as "Frederick's". History Korova was created through a joint venture between restaurateur Rob Gutmann, promoter Steve Miller and Daniel Hunt and Reuben Wu of electronic band Ladytron in September 2005. The concept for the venue was based upon Ladytron's club night EVOL. The original Korova, located on Fleet Street, appeared on the album cover for the Arctic Monkeys first album '' Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not''. The Rumble Strips
The Rumble Strips are an English band from Tavistock, Devon. The 4-piece line-up of Charlie Waller, Henry Clark, Tom Gorbutt & Keith Lunnon was present from the first recordings until late 2006 when Sam Mansbridge joined to fill out the sound developed during the recording of 'Girls & Weather'. The band were signed to Fallout Records, a subsidiary of Universal Island Records. History Formation Having known each other since childhood, there is no precise conception date for the band. Lead singer Charlie Waller was involved in music from an early age, initial inspirations included Lou Reed's ''Transformer'' and bands such as Adam and the Ants. White Rose Movement
White Rose Movement were a post-punk/ electro band from London, England. The band was named after the German anti-Nazi resistance movement White Rose. They mixed the post-punk style and attitude of early bands of the genre such as Joy Division, the Sound, Killing Joke and the Chameleons with a more New Romantic image reminiscent of bands like Duran Duran, Depeche Mode and A Flock of Seagulls. History White Rose Movement was formed from an earlier unsuccessful group named Arturo. Vine, Milton, Dyke and Harper were childhood friends who grew up together in a hippy commune in a small village in Norfolk (and went to boarding school together). Paul Richard Epworth (born 25 July 1974) is an English record producer, songwriter, musician, and remixer. He has worked with artists including Adele, Florence and the Machine, Rihanna, and Maxïmo Park, among many others. He is a member of the Music Producers Guild and is the founder and owner of the independent record label Wolf Tone, which has released music from Glass Animals, Rosie Lowe, and The Horrors. Hot Chip are an English synthpop band formed in London in 1995. The group consists of multi-instrumentalists Alexis Taylor, Joe Goddard, Al Doyle, Owen Clarke, and Felix Martin. They are occasionally joined by former member Rob Smoughton for live performances and studio recordings. The group primarily produces music in the synth-pop and alternative dance genres, drawing influences from house and disco. The Robocop Kraus are a post-punk revival and indie rock band from Nuremberg, Germany. History The Robocop Kraus formed in 1998 with Thomas Lang as lead singer and on guitar, Matthias Wendl on guitar, Johannes Uschalt on drums, and Roman Maul on bass. Maul left before the release of a split EP with The Cherryville on Swing Deluxe records, Lang and Uschalt's record company. The Sunshine Underground (often shortened to TSU) were an English alternative dance band based in Leeds, England. Their style developed from indie, alternative to electronic music, and they released four full-length albums; '' Raise the Alarm'' (2006), '' Nobody's Coming to Save You'' (2010), ''The Sunshine Underground'' (2014) and their farewell album, ''Luminescent'' (2016). The Little Flames were an indie rock band from Hoylake, England. The band consisted of Eva Petersen (Vocals), Greg Mighall (Drums), Joe Edwards (Bass), Miles Kane (Guitar) and Mat Gregory (Guitar). Their music can best be described as indie rock with some 1960s inspiration, slightly similar to The Coral.
