''Korkmazlar'' is a 1988 German television series and educational cassette created by Erman Okay. The series shows the daily life of a Turkish family in Germany and focuses on their problems which arise in part from an inadequate command of German language and its relation to Turkish and German neighbors. The Korkmaz family consists of a mother Pembe, mistress of the house, father Dursun, daughter Hatim, the problem child Cengiz, and the youngest daughter Sanem. Eight 30 minute episodes aired in 1988. Christine Neubauer
Christine Neubauer (born 24 June 1962 in Munich) is a German actress and author. Life and work Background and education Christine Neubauer is the daughter of a printer. Her ancestors came from Munich, Lower Bavaria and Swabia. She attended Mary Ward Secondary School in Nymphenburg and graduated in 1978 with an intermediate certificate. She studied psychology for two semesters and then took acting lessons. She attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York. Mürtüz Yolcu
Mürtüz Yolcu (born 1961 in Iğdır, Turkey) is a German-Turkish actor and theatre festival founder. Yolcu founded the Diyalog TheaterFest and has been the artistic director of the festival ever since. From 1979 to 1984, he belonged to the Turkish Ensemble of Berlin actors. He then played at the Tiyatrom Theater in Berlin and at the Turkish language family theater in Berlin. He also had engagements at the Schauburg in Munich and the Ballhaus Naunynstrasse as well as the Munich Kammerspiele. In addition, the Turkish native played a series of roles in film and television, most recently "Salih" in ' (2009). The actor played "Cengiz Korkmaz" also in '' Korkmazlar'' (1988), which was distributed on tape, but also played several times on German television. Levent Kirca
Levent is a neighbourhood and one of the main business districts of Istanbul, Turkey, located on the European side of the city. It is a part of the municipality of Beşiktaş and is situated to the north of the Golden Horn, at the western shore of the Bosphorus strait. Gundula Rapsch
Gundula Rapsch (26 January 1963 – 14 December 2011) was a German actress of stage, screen and television. She began her career at Germany's Munich Kammerspiele and Schauburg as well as at Vienna's Volkstheater and was a member of the ensemble of the Theater in der Josefstadt between 1988 and 1991. Rapsch had roles on the Vienna edition of the ARD crime series ''Tatort'' in 1999 and was featured on 69 episodes of the ZDF series ''Cologne P.D.'' from 2003 to 2007. She played the primary role of the ORF series '' OP ruft Dr. Bruckner'' between 1996 and 2009. Biography Rapsch was born in Bochum, on 26 January 1963.
