Korangi Creek
Korangi Creek Cantonment or Korangi Cantonment ( ur, کورنگی کریک چھاؤنی ) is a cantonment town of the city of Karachi, in Sindh, Pakistan. It serves as a military base and residential establishment. It was established by the British Colonial Army in 19th-century British Raj and by Fort Wrigley. Currently, the former local seat of the British Wrigley-Pimley-McKerr family still stands. It was transferred to Pakistan Army after independence in 1947. The cantonment maintains its own infrastructure of water and electricity and is located outside the jurisdiction of the City District Government of Karachi. Pakistan Air Force Airmen Academy
Pakistan Air Force Airmen Academy Korangi Creek is "Home of Airmen". It was PAF Base which imparts only technical training to Aero Apprentices and training of non-technical trades was going on another PAF Bases, so PAF needed to train all Airmen at one place. In 2019, It was established as an Academy in which training of all trades is planned. It was a momentous occasion in the history of Pakistan Air Force, as the Air Chief laid the foundation stone of PAF Airmen Academy at PAF Base Korangi Creek Monday. To mark this historic event, a ceremony was held, in which Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, Chief of the Air Staff Pakistan Air Force unveiled the plaque of this unique institution. The Faisal Cantonment ( ur, )is a cantonment town of the city of Karachi, in Sindh, Pakistan. It serves as an Airforce base and residential establishment. PAF Base established in 1925, as a strategically important British Royal Air force Base. Drigh Road Cantonment was established in 1925 for the civilian population near the British Royal Air force Base, vide Government of Bombay Revenue Department Notification No.4840/24 dated 04-11-1925. In 1947 it was renamed as Faisal Cantonment. The municipal limits of the Cantonment Board were altered twice: in 1988 and 1995.
