Koonga Parish
Koonga was a Municipalities of Estonia, municipality located in Pärnu County, one of the 15 Counties of Estonia, counties of Estonia. In 2017, Koonga Parish, Hanila Parish, Lihula Parish, and Varbla Parish were merged to form Lääneranna Parish. It is one of the oldest known human settlement in Estonia. A municipality ( et, omavalitsus, plural ) is the smallest administrative subdivision of Estonia. Each municipality is a unit of self-government with its representative and executive bodies. The municipalities in Estonia cover the entire territory of the country.
