Konstantin Pushkaryov
Konstantin Vladimirovich Pushkaryov (russian: Константин Владимирович Пушкарёв; born February 12, 1985) is a Kazakh professional ice hockey winger who is currently playing with HK Kurbads of the Latvian Hockey League (LAT). In May 2022, he became a Parimatch expert. Playing career Pushkaryov was drafted in the second round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings, but was traded to the Dallas Stars late in the 2006–07 NHL season in the deal involving former Kings captain Mattias Norström. He played one game for the Kings in the 2005–06 NHL season and earned an assist; he split the 2006–07 NHL season with the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League and the Kings. Pushkaryov scored his first NHL goal on January 8, 2007, against the Edmonton Oilers. HK Kurbads
HK Kurbads is an ice hockey team based in Riga, Latvia. It is a member of the Latvian Hockey Higher League and also compete for the Latvian Cup, winning Latvian Hockey League in 2016–17 and 2017–18 season. The team played its home games at Vidzemes Ledus Halle in Ogre until 2017 when the new arena was built in Rumbula, Riga. History HK Kurbads was founded by Andis Pikans, Janis Siraks and Gints Zviedritis in 1996 as an amateur team and played in various amateur championships until 2013 when they joined the Latvian Hockey Higher League. Mattias Norström
Erik Johan Mattias "Notan" Norström (born 2 January 1972) is a Swedish retired professional ice hockey defenceman, currently working for the AIK organization. Norström began his National Hockey League career with the New York Rangers. However, he is most noted for his ten seasons as a member of the Los Angeles Kings for whom he served as team captain from 2001– 2007; he was the team's first non-North American-born captain. Norström played the final season of his NHL career for the Dallas Stars. 2014 IIHF World Championship
The 2014 IIHF World Championship was hosted by Belarus in its capital, Minsk, held from 9–25 May 2014. Sixteen national teams were competing in two venues, the Minsk-Arena and Chizhovka-Arena. It was the first time Belarus hosted the tournament. The selection of Belarus to host this competition was the subject of much debate, with some politicians in both Europe and the United States calling for the IIHF to move the tournament to another country. Russia with a mix of NHL and KHL stars (unlike other nations, Russia comprised a squad close to their 2014 Olympic squad) remained undefeated throughout the championship. Kazakhstan Men's National Ice Hockey Team
The Kazakhstan men's national ice hockey team is controlled by Kazakhstan Ice Hockey Federation. Kazakhstan is ranked 16th in the world as of 2022. They have competed at the Winter Olympics twice, in 1998 and 2006. The national team joined the IIHF in 1992 and first played internationally at the 1993 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships. The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League, and are the AHL affiliates of the National Hockey League's Pittsburgh Penguins.
