Konongo Odumase Senior High School
Konongo Odumase Senior High School is a coeducational second-cycle institution at Konongo-Odumase in the Asante Akim Central District of the Ashanti Region of Ghana. History The school was started as Konongo Odumasi Secondary School but was renamed Konongo Odumase Senior High School around 2005 when the Kufuor government decided to redesignate all Senior Secondary Schools in the country as Senior High School. with twenty-one boys and five girls. This was as part of the "Accelerated Development Plan for Education" started after Kwame Nkrumah's Convention People's Party won the 1951 Gold Coast legislative election. Two important teachers at the inception of the school were D. A. Agyei and B. Spio-Garbrah. The school moved to its current permanent site in 1963. The original school site was nicknamed Biafra, after the secessionist state of Biafra associated with the Nigerian Civil War. Daasebre Oti Boateng
Daasebre Oti Boateng (1938 – August 2021) was a Ghanaian statistician, academic, and traditional ruler. He was the Omanhene (paramount chief) of New Juaben in the Eastern Region from 1992 until his death in 2021. He served as president of the Eastern Region House of Chiefs. Early life and education He attended Konongo Odumasi Senior High School for his secondary school education. Paul Kwadwo Baffoe-Bonnie (born 26 December 1956) is a Ghanaian Supreme Court Judge. Early life and education Baffoe-Bonnie was born at Goase Mempeasem on 26 December 1956. His primary school education was at the Goaso Local Authority primary and middle schools, completing his Middle School Leaving Certificate examinations in the late 1960s. Papa Arko
Ernest Papa Arko (died 26 November 2023) was a Ghanaian footballer. He played as a forward for Asante Kotoko and the Ghana national team. Education Arko attended the Konongo Odumase Senior High School where he was the captain of the football team. Club football Arko played for Asante Kotoko in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and was the captain of the team. They went on to be finalists in the 1982 African Cup of Champions Clubs competition where they lost to Al Ahly SC of Egypt. He continued to lead the team in 1983, the year they last won the 1983 CAF Champions League. He is often listed among the club legends.
