Kong Kenan ( ; ) is a superhero appearing in comic books published by DC Comics and is known as the Super-Man of China. The character, who first appeared in ''New Super-Man'' # 1 (July 2016), was created by Gene Luen Yang and Viktor Bogdanovic. Publication history A comic book series featuring a Chinese Superman who gains a portion of Superman's power debuted in July 2016 for DC Rebirth. The title was previously announced as ''The Super-Man'' but was changed to New Super-Man once Yang came on board and pointed out that there is no Chinese word for "the". DC Rebirth
DC Rebirth is a 2016 relaunch by the American comic book publisher DC Comics of its entire line of ongoing monthly superhero comic book titles. Xiaoqing ( zh, c=小青, l=Little Qing) or Qingqing ( zh, c=青青, links=no) is a mythological figure in Chinese folk religion. She is one of the protagonists of the Legend of the White Snake, one of China's "four great folktales". Legends Xiaoqing is a green snake who transforms into a human being after five hundred years of disciplined training in Taoism. Xiaoqing is the close confidant or sworn sister of the protagonist Bai Suzhen, the white snake. Bai Suzhen often calls her Qing'er (, ) or Qingmei (, ). The New 52 is the 2011 revamp and relaunch by DC Comics of its entire line of ongoing monthly superhero comic books.
