Komety
Komety is one of Poland's most popular and distinctive alternative groups. Its line-up: Lesław (voice, guitar, music, words), W. Szewko (bass, voice) and Arkus (drums, voice). The group has created a characteristic musical/lyrical style all their own. Before Komety, Lesław had been the leader of the now defunct group Partia. In 2003, Komety released their début album on Jimmy Jazz Records. In 2005, the ''Via Ardiente'' album was released and they played at the punk rock festival Antifest in the Czech Republic. ''Komety 2004-2006'', featuring previously unreleased material, came out the following year. The next album, ''Akcja v1'' came out in 2007. Singles taken from that album topped many Polish charts. In early 2008, Mexico's Esquilo Records released ''The Story of Komety'' a collection of the group's best-known selections. Antifest
Antifest was a punk rock festival taking place in Svojšice in the Czech Republic. History Antifest was organised in the middle of summer, and the first one took place in 1995. In the beginning the full title was Anti-society Fest, but later Antifest came in common use. Beside punk rock bands a significant number of ska, psychobilly and rockabilly bands appeared during the fest. Major European bands were appearing during the festival, performing on two stages. Visitors also came from different parts of Europe, mainly from the Czech Republic, Germany and Poland. 2005 edition (11th) was the first one to last for three days, previously the festival took two days. This event was organised by Agency 92. The last edition took place in 2007. An unofficial edition (Tribute to Antifest) took place in 2020. Rockabilly
Rockabilly is one of the earliest styles of rock and roll music. It dates back to the early 1950s in the United States, especially the Southern United States, South. As a genre it blends the sound of Western music (North America), Western musical styles such as country music, country with that of rhythm and blues, leading to what is considered "classic" rock and roll. Some have also described it as a blend of bluegrass music, bluegrass with rock and roll. Polskie Radio Program III
Polskie Radio Program III (Polish Radio Three), known also as Radiowa Trójka or shortly Trójka is a radio channel broadcast by the Polish public broadcaster, Polskie Radio. It is a music station playing a wide variety of music from rock, alternative, jazz and others. It is broadcast on FM, via satellite and online. The studios are located at Myśliwiecka Street 3/5/7 in Warsaw. Guitar
The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings. Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses.
