Komba Tawa Yomba widely known as Keeper Towa (born August 24, 1976 in Koidu Town, Sierra Leone) is a Sierra Leonean international Association football, football goalkeeper. He is the captain of the Diamond Stars in the Sierra Leone National Premier League. He is rated as one of the best Sierra Leonean goalkeepers of all time. Yengema
Yengema is a town in Kono District in the Eastern Province of Sierra Leone, lying approximately west of Koidu, Koidu Town (the largest city in Kono District), and about east of Freetown. The major industries in and around Yengema are diamond mining and agriculture. The town is home to Yengema Airport, the main airfield serving Kono District. A 2012 estimate of Yengema population was 13,358 people. The population of Yengema is ethnically diverse, though the majority of its residents are ethnic Mandingo and ethnic Kono. The primary language of communication in Yengema is the Krio language, which is widely spoken in the town. Michael Tommy (footballer)
Michael Tommy (born June 30, 1979 in Freetown) is a Sierra Leonean international Association football, football Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. He played recently for Grecia in the Costa Rican Second Division. Tommy was the first-choice goalkeeper for the Leone Stars in recent games but he has since lost that position to Christian Caulker. Career Tommy was born and raised in Freetown, Sierra Leone's capital city. He started his football career with local club Mighty Blackpool in the Sierra Leone National Premier League before moving to Liberian Premier League giant Mighty Barolle in 2001. In the 2003/2004 season, C.S. Cartaginés signed him from Mighty Barolle but released him to Municipal Liberia on 2004/05 season. He is no longer a goalkeeper. The Sierra Leone national football team represents Sierra Leone in men's international association football and it is governed by the Sierra Leone Football Association. The team's nickname is Leone Stars. The team is affiliated to the West African Football Union. The team have never qualified for the FIFA World Cup; however, they have qualified for Africa Cup of Nations thrice. The team represents both FIFA and Confederation of African Football (CAF). Christian Caulker (born 25 December 1988) is a Sierra Leonean footballer who plays for Maryland Bobcats FC as a goalkeeper. Family heritage Christian Caulker is of Sherbro and Creole parentage. Historically intermarriage among Creoles and Sherbros was frequent during the 19th and 20th centuries. Caulker is a descendant of the prominent Sherbro Caulker chieftaincy family of Sherbro and English descent. The Caulkers originate from Bonthe District in Southern Sierra Leone. Career The first choice goalkeeper of Sierra Leone National Premier League club F. C. Kallon moved in January 2011 on loan to Västerås SK. Sierra Leone National Premier League is a professional football league in Sierra Leone. It was founded in 1967. The league is sponsored by the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank, one of the major Sierra Leonean banks. East End Lions and Mighty Blackpool are the two biggest and most successful clubs.
