Kolnes
Kolnes is a village in Karmøy municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The residential village is located on the west side of the Førresfjorden, south of the village of Førre and east of the village of Norheim, Rogaland, Norheim. Kolnes has experienced rapid growth. Between 1970 and 2013 the population has increased by 87%. The municipality is planning further growth in the area by opening up 1700 sites for residential housing that is expected to increase the population from 1500 to 4500 between 2012 and 2027. Rogaland Norwegian county road 832 is the main route through Kolnes, running between the villages of Aksnes in the south and Eike and Skre in the north where it meets the European route E134 highway. Karmøy
Karmøy is a municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is southwest of the town of Haugesund in the traditional district of Haugaland. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Kopervik. Most of the municipality lies on the island of Karmøy. The island is connected to the mainland by the Karmøy Tunnel and the Karmsund Bridge. It is known for its industries, as well as for fishing. Karmøy is also well known in Norway for its beautiful heather moors and the white sand surfing beaches. The municipality is the 294th largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. European highway E 134 ( no, Europavei 134) is a European highway that crosses Norway starting at Haugesund Airport, Karmøy near the city of Haugesund on the west coast, heading over Haukeli, passing the city of Drammen, and ending in Vassum on the east side of the Oslofjord Tunnel. With the highest point at above sea level, the road is sensitive to snow conditions and foul weather during the winter season, during which the mountainous sections, especially near Haukelifjell skiing center, may be closed in short periods. The village is located along the Karmsundet strait immediately south of the town of Haugesund, just over the municipal border inside Karmøy.
