Kolambugan, Lanao Del Norte
Kolambugan, officially the Municipality of Kolambugan ( ceb, Lungsod sa Kolambugan; tl, Bayan ng Kolambugan), is a 4th class municipality in the province of Lanao del Norte, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 28,265 people. Etymology The name “Kolambugan” was taken from the word “''kolambog''”, a kind of tree which grew abundantly in the area. Some present day barangays were also called Migcamiguing and Maribojoc before, named also from trees of the same names which were found abundantly in the area. Geography The Municipality of Kolambugan is located along the Panguil Bay area facing Ozamiz City in the Province of Misamis Occidental, west of the capital town of Tubod. Tubod, Lanao Del Norte
Tubod, officially the Municipality of Tubod, ( ceb, Lungsod sa Tubod; Maranao: ''Inged a Tubod''; tl, Bayan ng Tubod), is a 2nd class municipality and capital of the province of Lanao del Norte, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 50,073 people. The Panguil Bay Bridge, once completed, will be Mindanao's (and by far, the Philippines') longest bridge, and will connect Tubod to Tangub City in Misamis Occidental. The project, that will cost around US$125,519,000.00, will be obtained through Official Development Assistance of the Korean Export-Import Bank of Korea-Economic Development Cooperation Fund. Ozamiz, officially the City of Ozamiz ( ceb, Dakbayan sa Ozamiz; fil, Lungsod ng Ozamiz), is a 3rd class component city in the province of Misamis Occidental, Philippines. Panguil Bay
Panguil Bay is an arm of Iligan Bay in Mindanao, Philippines. The bay forms the natural boundary separating the Zamboanga Peninsula from the rest of the island of Mindanao. It borders the provinces of Misamis Occidental, Zamboanga del Sur, and Lanao del Norte. Important cities and municipalities on its coast are Ozamiz and Tangub in Misamis Occidental, and Tubod, the capital of Lanao del Norte. The entrance to the bay is marked by a lighthouse on the west side of Panguil Bay, located on a headland on the eastern side of Ozamiz harbor.
