Kody Hoese
Kody Michael Hoese (born July 13, 1997) is an American professional baseball third baseman in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization. Amateur career Hoese attended Griffith High School in Griffith, Indiana. As a senior, he hit .388 with four home runs and 29 RBIs. Undrafted out of high school in the 2016 MLB draft, he enrolled at Tulane University to play college baseball for the Tulane Green Wave. In 2017, as a freshman at Tulane, Hoese hit .213 with zero home runs and 10 RBIs in 44 games. As a sophomore in 2018, he started all 58 of Tulane's games at third base and batted .291 with five home runs and 31 RBIs. He was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 35th round of the 2018 MLB draft, but did not sign. After the season, he played in the New England Collegiate Baseball League for the Newport Gulls, hitting .283 with seven home runs and 25 RBIs in 38 games. A third baseman, abbreviated 3B, is the player in baseball or softball whose responsibility is to defend the area nearest to third base — the third of four bases a baserunner must touch in succession to score a run. The Arizona Complex League Dodgers are a Rookie-level affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, competing in the Arizona Complex League of Minor League Baseball. Glendale Desert Dogs
The Glendale Desert Dogs are a baseball team that plays in the West Division of the Arizona Fall League. They play their home games at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Arizona. The ballpark is also the spring training facility of the Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers. The team was established in 1992 as the Chandler Diamondbacks, and played for three seasons under that name. The team's nickname has been Desert Dogs since 1995, persisting through several location changes. The Desert Dogs have won six league championships, most recently in 2008. The Arizona Fall League (AFL) is an off-season sports league owned and operated by Major League Baseball (MLB) which operates during the autumn in Arizona, United States, at six different baseball complexes. Arizona Fall League rosters are filled by many of the top prospects in Minor League Baseball (MiLB) who are assigned by their parent clubs. Structure The six teams of the AFL are organized in two three-team divisions. The Texas League is a Minor League Baseball league which has operated in the South Central United States since 1902. It is classified as a Double-A league. Despite the league's name, only its five South Division teams are actually based in the state of Texas; the five North Division teams are located in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. The league was founded in 1888 and ran through 1892. It was called the Texas Association in 1895, the Texas-Southern League in 1896, and again as the Texas League from 1897 to 1899. The Tulsa Drillers are a minor league baseball team based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The team, which plays in the Texas League, is the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers major-league club.
