Jacobus Johannes de Kock (born in Paarl) is a South African rugby union player, currently playing with the . His regular position is full-back or fly-half. Career Youth, club and Varsity rugby De Kock played schoolboy rugby for Paarl Boys' High School before enrolling at the academy in 2007. He played for the side in 2007 and for the side in 2008, missing out in 2009 due to injuries. In 2013, he represented in the Varsity Cup competition. He finished as the top scorer in the competition, scoring five tries and 22 conversions. Paarl
Paarl (; Afrikaans: ; derived from ''Parel'', meaning "pearl" in Dutch) is a town with 112,045 inhabitants in the Western Cape province of South Africa. The 2013 Vodacom Cup was played between 9 March and 18 May 2013 and was the 16th edition of this annual domestic cup competition. The Vodacom Cup is played between provincial rugby union teams in South Africa from the Currie Cup Premier and First Divisions, as well as and an invitational team, the from Argentina. The 2014 Super Rugby season is the fourth season of the 15-team format for the Super Rugby competition involving teams from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Varsity Cup is the collective name for four South African rugby union competitions involving the top rugby playing universities in the country. It was launched in 2008, with eight teams participating in the Varsity Cup competition and each university's internal champions competing in the Koshuis Rugby Championships (now known as Res Rugby). In 2011, a second tier competition called the Varsity Shield was added, increasing the number of participating universities to thirteen.
