Knut Schubert
Knut Schubert (born 9 September 1958 in Bautzen, East Germany) is a former East German pair skater. With his sister, Katja Schubert, he won the bronze medal at the 1974 East German Figure Skating Championships. They went on to finish ninth at that year's European Figure Skating Championships and eleventh at the World Figure Skating Championships. Schubert later teamed up with Birgit Lorenz. They won the gold medal at the East German Championships in 1981 and 1985, and captured the silver medal in four additional years. The couple won the bronze at the European Championships in 1983 and 1984 and finished fifth at the 1984 Winter Olympic Games. They also finished a career-best sixth place at the 1984 World Championships. After his figure skating career he studied teaching special subject sport. Bautzen
Bautzen () or Budyšin () is a hill-top town in eastern Saxony, Germany, and the administrative centre of the district of Bautzen. It is located on the Spree river. Norman Jeschke
Norman Jeschke (born 2 March 1979 in East Berlin, East Germany) is a German Pair skating, pair skater. Career Jeschke began skating at the age of three and was permitted to join the specially promoted sports club SC Dynamo Berlin. He first skated as a single skating, single skater, but later switched to pair skating. With partner Christine Tiltmann, he is the 1997 German junior national champion. After that partnership, he teamed up with Mariana Kautz. They placed 14th at the 2002 Winter Olympics. Aaron Van Cleave
Aaron Van Cleave (born 14 March 1987) is a German pair skater. He is best known for his partnership with Mari Vartmann for Germany. They won the 2015 German national title, the 2011 NRW Trophy, and 2010 Warsaw Cup. After they parted ways, he teamed up with Tatiana Domracheva. Personal life Van Cleave was born on 14 March 1987 in Comox, British Columbia, Canada. He was born both a Canadian and American citizen. He became a German citizen in January 2014. Florian Just
Florian Just (born 28 February 1982 in Nürnberg) is a German former competitive pair skater. With Mari Vartmann, he won four senior international medals and finished seventh at two European Championships. He also won four international medals with Katharina Gierok. Career Early career Florian Just began ice skating at the age of five at EC Nürnberg while also practicing artistic roller skating. He appeared on the Junior Grand Prix (JGP) circuit as a single skater. During the 1999 JGP series, he won gold in Zagreb, Croatia, and placed fourth at his second assignment, in Ostrava, Czech Republic. He qualified for the JGP Final, where he finished seventh. Mari-Doris Vartmann (born 25 December 1988) is a German pair skater. With Ruben Blommaert, she won four ISU Challenger Series medals. With Aaron Van Cleave, she is the 2015 German national champion, the 2011 NRW Trophy champion, and 2010 Warsaw Cup champion. Daniel Wende
Daniel Wende (born 24 July 1984) is a German pair skater. With Maylin Wende, he is the 2010 Trophée Eric Bompard bronze medalist, the 2013 Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist, and a two-time German national champion. They have competed twice at the Winter Olympics (2010, 2014) and have placed as high as sixth at the European Championships (2011, 2014). Rebecca Handke
Rebecca Handke (born 2 October 1986 in Soest, West Germany) is a German former pair skater. With partner Daniel Wende, she is the 2005-2006 German national silver medalist. Career Rebecca Handke represented the club SC Moehnesee as a pair skater with skating partner Daniel Wende. They were first coached by Julia Gnilozoubova. From 2004 on, their coach was Knut Schubert. After 2004, Handke and Wende trained in Dortmund and in Berlin. The pair achieved their highest international result of 6th at the 2005 European Championships. René Lohse, married Sachtler-Lohse (born 23 September 1973) is a German former competitive ice dancer. With partner Kati Winkler, he is the 2004 World bronze medalist and a six-time German national champion. They competed at two Winter Olympics, in 1998 and 2002.
