Knut Faldbakken
Knut Faldbakken (born 31 August 1941, in Hamar) is a Norwegian novelist. He studied psychology at Oslo University, and then worked as a journalist. Faldbakken visited a number of countries, working variously as a bookkeeper, sailor, and factory worker, and began writing books in 1967 while living in Paris. He was editor of the literary magazine ''Vinduet'' (''The Window'') between 1975 and 1979. Hamar is a List of cities in Norway, town in Hamar Municipality in Innlandet Counties of Norway, county, Norway. Hamar is the administrative centre of Hamar Municipality. ''Vinduet'' (Norwegian: ''The Window'') is an online literary magazine. It was a print publication between 1947 and 2021. Its first issue as purely an online publication was started in Autumn 2021. The magazine is based in Oslo, Norway. History and profile ''Vinduet'' was founded in 1947 by Harald Grieg and Nic. Stang. The owner is the publishing house Gyldendal Norsk Forlag. Four paper editions were issued annually. In the 1960s ''Vinduet'' adopted the eclectic thinking in dealing with literary work. Matias Faldbakken (born 1973 in Hobro, Denmark) is a Norwegian artist and writer. Faldbakken studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Bergen and the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main. He is the son of the author Knut Faldbakken, father of grov kar Gardar Faldbakken, and brother of film director Stefan Faldbakken. Literary career He made his literary debut in 2001 with ''The Cocka Hola Company'', the first part of his ''Scandinavian Misanthropy Trilogy''. ''Macht und Rebel'' was released two years later, following most recently by ''Unfun'', in Spring 2008, which completed his trilogy. All three novels are published under the pseudonym Abo Rasul and have not been translated into English. In 2006, Faldbakken released ''Kaldt produkt'' ("Cold Product") under his own name.
