Knockbride
Knockbride is a parish in County Cavan, Ireland located outside the town of Bailieborough. There are two Roman Catholic churches namely West Knockbride and East Knockbride. There is also a Church of Ireland church and parish and a Presbyterian Church in Corraneary. There is one shop, McCabes. Knockbride has two pubs, "The Bridge Tavern" and "The Hideout". John Tierney is a Gaelic footballer from Knockbride, Cavan. Playing career Gaelic football The Knockbride clubman represented DCU, as well as the Cavan county team at minor, U-21 and senior level in the Dr McKenna Cup, NFL and played left half forward in the Ulster Senior Football Championship final defeat to Tyrone in 2001. Bailieborough or Bailieboro (; ) is a town in County Cavan, Ireland. , its population was 2,683, up from 1,529 as of the 1996 census. Bailieborough's proximity to the N3 road (Ireland), N3 National Road has made it a commuter town. History Plantation Before the Plantation of Ulster, the area covered by the town was known as Killechally, Killycolly and Killycollie (). The Cavan County Board ( ga, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Coiste Chontae an Chabháin) or Cavan GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) in Ireland, and is responsible for the administration of Gaelic games in County Cavan. ''Fifteen to One'' is a British general knowledge quiz show broadcast on Channel 4. It originally ran from 11 January 1988 to 19 December 2003 and had a reputation for being one of the toughest quizzes on TV.
