Knights (film)
''Knights'' is a 1993 American martial arts science fiction action film directed by Albert Pyun and starring kickboxing champion Kathy Long in her Hollywood debut. The film is a sequel to Pyun's 1989 film, ''Cyborg'', and was released direct to home video in 1993. Plot The cyborg Gabriel (Kris Kristofferson) was created to destroy all other cyborgs. He later rescues Nea (Kathy Long) by killing the cyborg Simon (Scott Paulin). Gabriel trains Nea to become a cyborg killer and help him. They continue to kill cyborgs until Gabriel is torn in half by one of his targets and taken to the cyborg camp. Nea follows Jacob and challenges the cyborg leader Job (Lance Henriksen) to a fight. Finding Gabriel, she straps him to her back and they battle cyborgs until Gabriel can attach a dead cyborg's legs to himself. Albert Pyun
Albert Pyun (May 19, 1953 – November 26, 2022) was an American film director who made low-budget B-movies and direct-to-video action films. The Independent Film Channel said that Pyun "has carved out a unique niche as a director of low-budget, high-concept genre films starring actors past their prime", adding that "others believe this a charitable description for Pyun, who has also been derided as the new Ed Wood." Though his films frequently blended kickboxing and hybrid martial arts with science fiction and dystopic or post-apocalyptic themes, which often include cyborgs, Pyun stated in a 2012 interview that "I have really no interest in cyborgs. And I've never really had any interest in post-apocalyptic stories or settings. Vincent Klyn
Vincent Klyn (born June 30, 1960) is a New Zealand-born actor and surfer who has appeared in a number of 1980s and 1990s-era motion pictures. His most notable role was the 1989 film ''Cyborg'' directed by Albert Pyun. Early life Klyn (Klijn) was born in New Zealand. His family relocated to Honolulu, Hawaii and he attended and graduated from Aiea High School. He learned to surf in Hawaii. He went on to compete on the professional surfing circuit at only 13 years of age. Klyn was a competitor in the World Wide Surf tour, and was among the top five surfers in the world at that time. Film career His first and probably most remembered film appearance was his film debut in the 1989 science fiction action film ''Cyborg'', as the main villain Fender Tremolo, playing opposite Jean-Claude Van Damme as the hero, Gibson Rickenbacker. La Sal Mountains
The La Sal Mountains or La Sal Range are a mountain range located in Grand and San Juan counties in the U.S. state of Utah, along the border with Colorado. The range rises above and southeast of Moab and north of the town of La Sal. This range is part of the Manti-La Sal National Forest and the southern Rocky Mountains.
