Knights (cricket Team)
The ITEC Knights are a Division 1 cricket team representing the province of Free State in South African domestic competitions. The Knights take part in the CSA 4-Day Series first-class competition, the Momentum One-Day Cup and the Mzansi Super League T20 competition. The team's home venue is the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein. History The Knights were originally established as an entirely professional franchise team following reforms that were carried out to the South African domestic leagues in 2004-05. Traditionally, from 1893-94 to 2004-05, eleven provincial teams (with occasional additions) had competed in the Currie Cup. In 2004-05, the eleven provincial teams were rationalised into six new, entirely professional franchises, in all three formats. Allan Donald
Allan Anthony Donald (born 20 October 1966) is a South African former cricketer who is also the current bowling coach of Bangladesh national cricket team. Often nicknamed 'White Lightning' due to his lightning quick bowling, he is considered one of the South Africa national cricket team's most successful pace bowlers. CSA T20 Challenge
The Betway T20 Challenge is a domestic Twenty20 Cricket competition in South Africa, first contested in the 2003–04 season. It was previously known as the Standard Bank Pro20 Series until the 2010–11 season, the MiWay T20 Challenge for the 2011–12 season and most recently as the RamSlam T20 Challenge. The current champions are the Imperial Lions, whilst the Titans have been the most successful with 6 title wins. The tournament has been contested since its inception by the six franchise teams but for the 2007–08 season, Zimbabwe took part as a seventh side. In April 2019, Cricket South Africa announced that the 2018–19 tournament would be the final edition of the T20 Challenge, due to austerity measures and a restructure of domestic cricket in the country. Gerrit Jacques Snyman (born 10 May 1994) is a South African cricketer. A batting all-rounder, he bats right-handed and bowls off spin. Patrick Kruger (born 3 February 1995) is a South African cricketer. He was included in the Griqualand West cricket team squad for the 2015 Africa T20 Cup.
